Technical arsenal of boxers mainly consists of four types of punches – jab, cross, hook, uppercut, as well as ways to perform them – single or serial; five types of defence - blocking, bobbing, slipping, footwork and clinch, as well as movements, preparatory and deceptive actions. The composition, forms, ways of realization of fighting techniques define the tactics of warfare. However, the composition and form of implementation of the mentioned techniques each athlete depends on the individual circumstances, which are determined by the properties of the psyche and the morphological characteristics of athletes and the level of development of physical qualities.
